Feature car of the Month

July 2002

This month's feature car is this wonderful 1940 Ford Deluxe owned by James Curry of Greensburg, Kentucky.  James' Ford is a real eye catcher and we couldn't wait to talk to him about it.  The car started out as a 59,000 mile original car that had been stored in a barn in Texas for 30 years.  James has owned the Deluxe for 6 years and it has been completed for about a year and 9 months. buy g1 battery

The body on the '40 was left mostly stock with very few custom touches.  Let me tell you, my amateur photography does not do the body on this car justice.  They simply don't come any straighter than this!  The flawless body is covered in a unique purple graphite topcoat which James told me is actually a late model GM color. mugen Pocket Wifi S (S31HW) akku

The drivetrain is the well proven combo of a Chevy 350 backed with a GM automatic transmission.  The engine is dressed in just the right amount of polished bits and pieces contrasted by body color accessories.  This Ford puts the power to the pavement in style with polished 16x7 American Racing Torque Thrust II wrapped with 215/60/R16 rubber.  hair salon plano Charleroi

Moving inside we see that the interior is done up in tasteful gray tweed with some billet accessories sprinkled about for good measure.  The interior was made a more livable space with the addition of creature comforts like a CD stereo system, power windows, and a Vintage Air A/C system to keep the occupants cool on those hot summer nights!

In the not-so-humble opinion of this writer, James' street rod is what it is all about.  It has cool looks with style to spare and all the late model comforts anybody could ever want.  His car was so nice it even received the coveted "Goodtime Cruisers Ladies Choice Award" ;-) at our June 2002 cruise!  Everybody with the Goodtime Cruisers would like to congratulate James on his fine '40 Ford.
