Hang Ten!
This months Feature car is a 1953 Plymouth that belongs to Bob Cutler from Campbellsville, Kentucky. Bob's Plymouth just screams fun, when you look at it you can't help but smile. I think this wagon is a fine example of having a good time with a hot rod. Go Ukraine The Plymouth is powered by it's original flathead inline 6. The inliner features a split exhaust manifold and side pipes that Bob can uncork for that unique 6 cylinder sound. The 6 banger is backed up by the original 3 speed. The power is funneled through a '87 Ranger rearend before it is put to the pavement by 15" Early Wheel painted, steel rims wrapped with Coker Wide White Walls. The stopping power is supplied by disk breaks. abdominal exerciser, to use device. The body is basically stock and has been sprayed with a custom blue primer. Bob says that the primer is a very low maintenance finish that he cleans with a "scotch brite" pad of all things! The finishing touch to the outside of this cool cruiser are the authentic California surfboards that ride atop the Plymouth. The boards were purchased by Bob's son at a yard sale in California and shipped here for the car. Bob has attended the "Americruise" in Wisconsin in 1999 and in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2002. To help make these long cruises more enjoyable the wagon has air conditioning and a CD sound system, so Bob can listen to his favorite surf rock classics! The Cruisers are glad we got to meet Bob and we look forward to cruising with him in the future!
